Treasure Chest Summary
After a recent grand opening, the newly land-based Treasure Chest features more tables and more variety in bet sizing compared to their riverboat days. Since opening in June, 2024, we have not seen any six deck, $10 minimum tables open, but hopefully that will change soon. The $10 minimum, S17 shoe games was a great sub $25 option.
The two blackjack table options include Trilux (3.24% side bet house edge) and King’s Bounty (23.2%, yes, 23.2% side bet house edge). Both June, 2024 trips saw table minimums including: $15, $25, $50, and $100.
Smoking is no longer allowed at the tables, and drink service has been excellent here.

Boomtown Summary
Boomtown has not been our favorite blackjack New Orleans option lately. The few tables are often full, have higher limits for the recreational player, and as of our last visit (June, 2024) there is smoking allowed at the tables in an already smoky riverboat casino.
